Facilities Regulated by Florida Department of Health

Residential Child Caring Agencies are inspected once a year by request of DCF.

Family Foster Homes are inspected once a year by request of the licensing agency.

Private Schools, Non-public K-12 Schools, and Charter Schools are inspected twice a year under Chapter 6A-2.0040 of the Florida Administrative Code (FAC).

Note: Public Schools are inspected twice a year under Chapter 6A-2.0010, FAC, which refers to the Florida Building Code.

Group Homes are inspected once a year under Chapter 64E-12.

The additional following paperwork needs to be part of your plan review:

  • A floor plan with all sinks and toilets marked
  • A water bill (if facility is serviced by Public Sewer) or an Existing System Review (if the facility is serviced by an Onsite Sewage System)
